Human Resources Assistant II

Reports to:  Human Resources Manager                                      Department:  Human Resources
Classification: Salaried Exempt                                                       Division:  Marietta, GA
Supervisory Responsibilities:  No                                                   Salary: $25k yearly

Job Summary:
To support the Human Resources Manager in reporting and program administration, including implementing and supporting special projects, as well as daily employment application and employee maintenance programs.  This position serves to back up the HR Assistant I role to ensure full coverage of daily walk in and call in business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.  Responsible for effective recruitment strategies and alliances to ensure effective hiring practices.
2.  Assists with daily walk in and call in accommodation to support absenteeism and tardiness as   well as benefits questions and filling employee special requests.
3.  Collects and analyzes HR data to track trends and developments.  This includes tracking Applicant Flow in HRIS system.
4.  Assists with administration of employee relation’s programs.
5.  Assist with new hire documentation including collecting I-9, badges, etc.
6.  Manage special projects.
7.  Responsible for effective Orientation program administration.
8.  Translation duties when supervisors need assistance communicating with Hispanic workers
9.  Perform Social Security, drug and background checks to meet employment guidelines.
10. Assist with employee Loan Applications in HRIS system
Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources. Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred.
Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills,
Computer literacy using MS Office Skills; E-Mail and HRIS information systems skills
Requires Bilingual Hispanic oral and written skills.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
1. A bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management is helpful, or
2. One to two years experience in the HR field, or
3. Any similar combination of education and experience.
